Prologue

20130701 - That was then and this is now.  This time I got a prescription for Chantix from my Kaiser doctor.  I took them every day (but one dose) as directed, with 8oz minimum water and having just eaten.  No nausea, just a few burps on the first days.  Today being my quit day - my rx is upped and my system seems to have dealt fine with it.  Nothing else really in the Plan of Action, except that I did count how many drags I took off a cigarette and it was 19.  I am thinking good therapy during cravings could be to go declutter 19 items on a "break"all the while taking so deep sucking breaths.  If the urge is really strong then have TWO breaks. =)  And of course I made my phone screens The Lord's Prayer.  Love it!  Love Him!  I am also referring to a Help to stay quit cheat sheet that I made which references an online article I recently read and the tool used to help a good percentage of people quit:
Recognize the craving that is arising, and relax into it.
Accept this moment. Don’t ignore it, distract yourself, or try to do something about it.
Investigate the experience as it builds. Ask yourself, “What is happening in my body right now?”
Note what is happening. As you note pressure, dullness, tightness, or whatever, it becomes clear that these are nothing more than body sensations. You don’t have to act on them. You can simply ride out the sensations until they subside.

20120527 - Let the plan begin!

20120523 - listened to fabulous sermon on "Pruning" and just before it ended I realized God was gonna take cigarettes out of my life forever WOOHOO!  It may be painful BUT With God ALL things are possible - and smoking truly has always been my worst attribute - I would try to put a spin on it that I was cool because I smoked but that's a bunch of bologna!  I was smelly, a poor money manager, destroying the health of the body God gave me, and I won't even get into how I behaved when I was craving one!  BOO ICKY VIKI - HOORAY VICTORIA LYNN

20120522 - went to my all time favorite quit smoking story website:
http://www.keephopealive.org/howiquitsmoking.html
And created a physical calendar using the plan then added all the events to my google calendar and ordered the Tobacoff and Smoking Withdrawal.....sooo excited!!!
Also installed android apps Smoking Log (using it for every cigarette) and Get Rich or Die Smoking (created a user name and asked the community for advice and set goal of WDW trip).
